马修·麦克菲迪恩（Matthew Macfadyen），1974年10月17日出生于英国，演员。
母亲虽是位女演员兼戏剧教师，马修出道却很晚。25岁时他开始了**部电影《Wuthering Heights》，27岁才参加首部电影《Maybe Baby》演出。马修的戏剧之路一直很顺畅，他在英国BBC电视热门影集《Spooks》里大受欢迎，后来也开始在影坛发光。
,演艺经历在1990到1992期间，他曾就读拉特兰郡[英国英格兰原郡名]的Oakham学校，学习戏剧表演。
1992年，他离开了学校。虽然被国家青年戏院拒绝了，但他还是被英国皇家戏剧艺术学院录取了，和他同期的还包括Ioan Gruffudd（《神奇四侠》主演）。

2004年，他参与了他在《spooks》(第三季)中的最后演出，他扮演的Tom Quinn在这一季的第二集中离开了军情五处，这也意味着他所有戏份的完结。
2004年，他出演电影《傲慢与偏见》，演绎了经典的Mr Darcy。傲慢与偏见2005年9月16日在英国上映，11月18日在北美上映。

人物生活家庭情况
马修1974年出生在诺福克的Great Yarmouth，他和《spooks》（英国BBC电视连续剧，又名《军情五处》）中的演员（也是他的同事）Keeley Hawes结为夫妻，他们的小女儿叫Maggie。
他的母亲是一个演员同时也是戏剧老师。他的爸爸是一个石油商人，在马修童年的大部分时间里，他不得不跟随他的父亲辗转迁徙，因为他父亲的工作需要经常到海外，比如远东地区和巴西。他的祖父也是一个戏剧爱好者。他还有一个弟弟叫Jamie。
